Under UK legislation, persons working with electricity must be competent. Olympic Caravan Services has successfully completed the CITO 2 day electrical maintenance, test and inspection, course. This course sets the standard for anyone working on electrical systems within the caravan industry as a service technician.

Olympic Caravan Services Receives City & Guilds Caravan Service Engineering Award

city guildsFor over 25 years, the City & Guilds Caravan Service Engineering Award has been seen as the minimum qualification that a technician should hold to demonstrate their competence to carry out a caravan and motor home service. The award is comprised of two assessments: a theory assessment that underpins the technician’s understanding of their every day practical work which is then demonstrated in a practical assessment.

City & Guilds  Electrical Systems, Equipment & Circuits Certification

This qualification allows technicians to work on a an electrical system to identify problems, track faults and rectify them. This qualification allows Olympic Caravan Services to  safely and competently to carry out a wider scope of electrical work as part of a touring caravan or motor-home service.

ALDE FLUSH AND REFILL

We are now please to offer a alde fluid flush and refill service .

If your caravan is fitted with the alde wet heating system and is two years old or over we can flush the old anti corrosion fluid out and refill with new five year fluid .

Caravan Servicing

All caravans and motor-homes should be checked and maintained regularly to avoid problems. During your service I will carry out all recommended servicing to caravans and appliances, to manufacturers' requirements. A typical single axle, full service, takes around 4 hours to complete and covers more than the NCC recommend checks. Don't forget I am mobile, with a HQ at Overton, Wrexham and will come to you saving you time and money!

ACOPS

Only use a fully qualified service engineer to service your caravan's gas system.

Part B, 8(1) of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 specifically states "No person shall make any alteration to any premises in which a gas fitting or gas storage vessel is fitted if that alteration would adversely affect the safety of the fitting or vessel in such a manner that, if the fitting or the vessel had been installed after the alteration, there would have been a contravention of, or failure to comply with, these Regulations."

Newfoundland Training

In my spare time I have a passion for training Newfoundland dogs in the water and on land and I am the Chairman of UK Rescue Bears, based in Overton, Wrexham

Our members meet up in the summer & autumn to work in the water with their Newfoundlands. Our main aim is to promote water safety and fund raise for various charities by performing water displays and cart rides for children. We also practice some elements of the UK's working regulations and occasionally travel great distances to enter water tests with the dogs and meet up with our Newfoundland friends from around the UK.
